Quiet Cove

In between Marist and the Culinary Institute there is a sign for a place called Quiet Cove, a sign that I am willing to assume goes mostly unnoticed. However, if you are looking for a nice, quiet place to sit on the river, this is place to go. There are beaches that afford a beautiful view of the river with picnic tables to enjoy whatever food you bring with you.

When you arrive at the site, there is a center where you can host meetings, it also has restrooms. On the back of the house there's a porch with chairs you can sit in to enjoy a view from further back than the water itself. Around the site there are grills that are able to be used by whoever wants to have a BBQ down on the water.

I've been down there for lunch on nice days, just to lay out in the sun, or to do some reading from classes. It's only open this season so if you are looking to take advantage of this beautiful view, this is the time to enjoy the scenery and weather.
